Consumable
SparklerQuality determined by STR: ForgingA single-use ignitable torch that gives off a bright purple-white light for up to 10 minutes. They can be lit and continue to produce light even when submerged. When lit, sparklers give a +3 bonus to sight-based Perception checks in areas of low-light or less. You can use an unlit one to attempt to briefly blind someone. This takes one action, deals no damage, and can be blocked or evaded. Make an unarmed attack roll. If it successfully hits, you light the sparkler in the target's face. They take a -2 penalty on their attacks until the end of their next turn.
|
TrapsQuality determined by DEX: ThieveryThis can cover any variety of traps. You can spend several minutes setting up traps in an area. When you do so, designate three (3) blocks in the area that you've trapped. Anyone stepping onto a trapped block needs to make a Perception check. On success, they realize there's a trap there before moving forwards; on mixed success, they trigger the trap but evade at the last moment, taking 2 AP damage; and on failure, they trigger it and take 4 AP damage. Tripped traps are generally loud.

Tool
Artisan's ToolsQuality determined by STR: ForgingYou might not be able to bring your workshop with you, but you can bring your tools. Carried in sash, belt, or bag, you're able to maintain and repair damaged or broken items and objects wherever you may be. You're able to disassemble simple and complex mechanisms (such as the wheels of a carriage or the fine inner-workings of a clock tower). If this requires a check, you gain a +2 bonus to that check. This is not necessarily a quiet affair, and may require Stealth checks to do without being noticed.
BagsQuality determined by HAR: NatureBackpacks, tool-belts, potion-sashes, sacks; anything that can be used to carry things. Sometimes, all you need is to pack things a bit more effectively. This tool allows the holder to carry two (2) additional Consumables.
Climbing KitQuality determined by STR: ForgingA collection of ropes, nails, and a myriad of other miscellaneous items that can aid in climbing. This kit allows you to scale down cliffs and walls without difficulty. You gain a +2 bonus to checks to climb up or along such obstacles. In extreme weather, a DM may call for a check to climb down; you gain a +3 bonus on any such checks.
Field Medic's KitQuality determined by INT: HealingA collection of medical supplies intended for use in the field. Contains everything an aspiring medic would need for field-triage and field-surgeries, alongside other basic first-aid complements. Comes with a bottle of hard alcohol! These supplies allow even the most untrained to perform basic triage, and provide trained hands the tools they need to resolve nearly anything short of injuries requiring a full surgical suite. At DM discretion, niche maladies (e.g. rare poisons, arcane wounds) may not be fully treatable through supplies found in a Field Medic's Kit.
HoeQuality determined by STR: Forging
LightsQuality determined by STR: ForgingTorches, lanterns, and anything in-between. Provides light in even the darkest spaces, and they even come with flint and steel! Comes in sufficient quantity/supply that it's assumed the character has perpetual access to them. While lit, they illuminate an area and allow the character to see things they wouldn't otherwise have noticed. This includes, but is not limited to: odd rock formations, a pitfall, and rogues skulking in the night. Lit lights illuminate darkened areas, removing any penalties on sight-based Perception checks due to darkness or dim lighting.

ChiselQuality determined by STR: Forging
Collapsible BridgeQuality determined by STR: ForgingA set of planks and dowels that can be fit together to make a bridge suitable for crossing mid-sized gaps. Included is a set of hammer and pitons used to secure it in place. In stable terrain, you can use it to cross gaps up to four blocks long without difficulty. In other terrains (such as waterlogged dirt, a sandy beach, or a crumbling cave), make a Perception or Nature check with a +2 bonus to determine if you can set it up securely for safe crossing. Failure has effects at DM discretion.
Gatherer's KitQuality determined by HAR: NatureAdvanced gathering tools for the advanced gatherer. This isn't your mundane axes, picks, and hammers; no, this is the stuff you bring if you want to maximize your yield for a portion of the effort. A wide range of chisels, brushes, tools to cut down that tree without shattering it, and much more! When you use this kit as part of gathering raw materials, you gain an additional amount of that material at DM discretion. This will nearly always result in at least one extra item. You additionally can make a Perception or Research check with a +2 bonus to determine if harvesting a resource (such as ore from a cave wall) would cause a detrimental effect on the environment (such as a cave-in).
HorseshoeQuality determined by STR: Forging
PickaxeQuality determined by STR: Forging
Thieves' ToolsQuality determined by DEX: ThieveryA coterie of covert contraptions which allow conspiring crooks to commit cunning capers with canny capability. It can be used by upstanding folk, as well! This kit has the tools required to open locks and disable traps of all kinds, stealthily or not. Allows you to destructively open basic locks, traps, and devices with a precise, but loud, application of applied force. This requires no checks. You gain a +2 bonus to checks made to open mechanisms stealthily, complex or basic, and additionally gain this bonus when destructively opening complex mechanisms. It is at DM discretion what counts as a basic lock, trap, or device.
