----------☽☾----------

Character Name: Elova Thelwen

Desired Fable: Touch of the Equinox

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

"There is no spiritual content in tissue, and no emotion in a muscle."

Spoiler

A healer. A mother. A wayward soul. One who has faced death many times, looked it in the eye, and said, 'No'.

Nature, however, is a cycle. There cannot be life if there is not first death. And without death, there cannot be life. There cannot be rest if there is not first movement; and without rest, there is no movement. There must be branches pruned to cultivate new growth.

Rest does not mean stagnation. This, Elova has learned. And this, she will put into practice.

"Ivory does not bleed . . . Flesh does."

Character Name: Igor
Desired Fable: Lady of The Lake: Oath of Bravery

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Since the day Igor was born, he has endlessly pursued brilliance, whether that be through smithing or the most noble of unarmed combats. His fists are his chosen weapon and the crux with which he moulds steel. His moral compass is strong, though being physically weak he had never been able to do all that he wished, as a natural escalation he began giving the people the tools they needed to protect themselves, whilst trying to build the strength and courage to protect them himself. That is to say, Igor is endlessly obsessed with moulding his body into a shield against evil. No matter what that takes.

Igors family was split in motivations and personal beliefs, where his father worshipped the dragon, being of ashborn heritage, his mother followed and paid tribute to the lady of the lake. They embodied different ideologies, whereas his father was harsh he always had the best interests of those around him at heart, he embodied an affectionate might, treating others as he would treat family. Wheras Igors mother was a being of pure care and mercy, she carried herself with grace and always put the needs of others above her own. She taught in a university, where she treated her students as though they were her own children.

Igor began to see both these fabled entities as adjacent to his mother and father, doing his best to embody both their ideologies, under the assumption that treating others with a kind but firm hand when required, and viewing all creatures as kin, would make him into a better man.

Character name: Icarus Lyall

Character name: Grist Nackle

Desired Fable: Lady of the Lake (Oath of Bravery)

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Grist has lived a very long time, and he never really gave the fables any thought. Within his years he has travelled across the world, made merry with strangers, and fought others with blood on his knuckles and a smile on his face. Since he arrived at the Spire, though… he has felt utterly unfulfilled. There has been no goal to look forward to. No purpose to devote himself to. He looked to the past, regretting the choice he made to leave his pact, to leave the only family he had ever had.

But then... he started to find people. Ones who, when he talked to them, or performed on his banjo for them, he felt the very fulfillment he had been chasing all his life. Alongside this, a sense of belonging he had not felt since he left his home a century ago. Then, a sudden realization. A new pact. A new purpose. Another chance to guide those less wise, and teach those less learned.

Ever since coming to this realization, Grist has made a silent promise to protect and assist his ever-expanding pact, even if it costs him his life. It nearly did, when he helped a friend, a pactmate, eradicate cultists who would see the world consumed by rot, his final blow ending the conflict as he fell unconscious.

After all, he’s lived his life. Now, he must make sure the path is paved for those who come after. For those who will inherit everything he spent his life trying to understand.

A cause that is shared with one who stands above him, it would seem. In his old age, he has started to think that, perhaps, certain fables are worth more thought after all… Perhaps, the Lady of the Lake would bestow unto him the strength that his aging body lacked...

Character Name: Sonoko Kirin

Desired Fable: Shrinekeeper

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Watching her childhood Best Friend, Viktoria, having been a shrinekeeper there was a little spark of intriguement within Sonoko. When her friend had to depart from the Spire for home’s duties, the Greatling began to pick up some shrinely habits to feel like her friend is still somewhat there.

Sonoko wasn’t one for the Equinox like her friend, her shrine was instead dedicated to her ancestors, both to her bloodline or adoptive clan, as well as the spirits in general. Not only does she leave a percentage of the Brewery’s profit from that day, but she also leaves a freshly made meal of whatever the special was that day. A little gift for the one transporting the tribute.

Character Name: Fukurō Saisui
Desired Fable: Pheonix and Equinox [Touch of the Equinox] (Planning to go for all three)

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Spoiler
Corrupted and seeking a cure. A relatively recent devotee to the Twin Birds, having followed their practices for more than three to four months now. Fukuro plans to set off on a pilgrimage to seek out the favor of the Equinox, desperate for rest; desperate for answers. The ultimate goal in seeking out the Birds being a cure, though if they accept him is to be seen.

OOC Note: I expect this will take a while to be picked up. The goal here is being able to use the other vampire feats for a while as the idea is the P&E feats will replace the vampire feats

Character Name: Kaho Shizakawa

Desired Fable: Phoenix & Equinox (The intention is to get all three feats but will start off with Equinox.)

What has your character done to qualify them for the fable / gather the attention of the fable?:

Kaho is undergoing training under Helara’s guidance, while receiving insight from Myra about the Twin Birds. She studies the many ways they may be worshiped and reflects on her experiences as she completes tasks assigned by Helara. These tasks are recorded in a journal and practiced almost daily, allowing enlightenment to unfold gradually. Through this steady devotion, Kaho hopes to one day seek the Twin Birds not merely as a moral compass, but as a full-time follower blessed by them—not only for her own growth, but to help guide others along the journey of life.
