Hello, and welcome to the first Avalore newsletter!

These monthly newsletters will be posted to the front page as our official medium to announce updates related to the server such as campaigns and player events, systems and mechanics changes, changes in staff teams, and upcoming releases.

It has now been exactly two months today since Avalore's official release, and with it, the server's first campaign event line, Honourless. Since then, we have seen a very significant increase in users thanks in part to a YouTube video briefly exploring one of our closed down predecessor (in spirit) communities.

Thank you for bearing with us as we continue to add to our staff teams and and grow alongside the playerbase to better accommodate the amount of players we are seeing! Ticket processing should continue to see improvement as we have more folk to lend a hand with them.

Campaign Updates

• ORIGIN 1: A Sleepy Road
• Nov. 8th - First Tilt: The server event line for The Honourless Campaign will see further progression this month with the nefarious Knights of Lictor of the Lampwood's announcement of a public jousting tourney.
  
  

Content Updates

• Cantrips will be getting a rework, though we do not have a set release yet.
• Feats will be seeing some tweaks and rebalancing, and likewise, does not have a set release time as of yet.
• Vampirism (see: Curse of the Eternal Blood) is continuing to be written, and once ready will begin to be integrated into the setting via in-character events. This is intended to be released over the course of late November/early December. Due to some IRL circumstance this may need to be pushed back, but keep an eye out either way!
• Apparitions & Ghoulish Foes will be added to the Lore Compendium early this month.
• Lore Expansions for pre-existing cultural groups including both the Korami and Falstoners are in progress!
• Alchemy is in the beginning phases of development as an addition to the crafting system. This may incorporate some aspects of herbalism. Stay tuned for more.

Community Updates

• The Discord ticket bot and system will see some reworking, and potentially a new bot altogether as it has had some technical difficulties. Please bear with us when we begin to transition this system, and let us know if there are any user-end issues with it.
• In a similar vein, the Discord will begin to see some reorganizing and trial with different features to increase navigability, especially for new players seeking resources. As we have grown much quicker than anticipated, thank you again for your patience as we get settled into maintaining a community of this size.

Player Events

• Nov. 1st - Faerie's Eve Festival:  Come experience the beauty of the Spire's first annual Falstoner festival, and enjoy the scenic view as the numerous sky lanterns containing whispered secrets carry them up to safety away from the Fey (or so the folk tale says!).
• Nov. 5th - Let's Go Eat Valkian Food!: The Full Cask will be hosting a renowned Valkian chef. All in-character foodies welcome, bring your appetite.
• Nov. 29th - (Recurring, Monthly) Fight Night: The event intended for October 25th has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. Regular scheduling will resume afterwards (last Friday of every month).

• Soup's Interactive Avalorian Map: An absolutely beautiful full-size and interactive map of Avalore's geography. Made by @Soup, it can be explored to check out points of interest and to get a better look at our setting. Thank you so much for such an incredible submission!
