Spoiler Crow has finally closed the long chapter of his life of being a mercenary in the Northern Kingdoms, only to open a new one in the Southern Reach. He abides by an understanding of the cycle as a truth rather than being in particular reverence to it, as regardless of whatever else they may be, the sun still rises at dawn and it sets at dusk. At the same time, he views himself as a guide to others as an officer in combat, a sort of tough love figure. While not the most pious figure, he too is a representation of the cycle.
