I've been doing mc rp on and off for many years now, and it's been a couple of years since I've last been on a server. I've been on more than one server's build team and spent a small amount of time making decorative models in blockbench, but it's been a long time since I've done any of that.  — In-Character Read the following prompt: The rhythmic lull of hoofbeats are a marching drum to the small group of pioneers and variety of folk you have found yourself amongst, packed into a wobbling wagon. Tie the terms into your character's backstory. Why are they important to them?) Gwenna was rubbing at the crooked fingers on her left hand when she heard the old woman start to ask her questions. She blinks herself back to the present, looking at the old woman's grin and returning her own gap-toothed smile, the tip of her tongue pressing between the gap for a moment. "Got sick of freezing my ass off up North." Gwenna said before gesturing around. "Much warmer weather down here and I've taken a good liking to it. More food too. My stomach's never been fuller." The old woman gave Gwenna a look as if to say "we both know that's not all" and it wasn't. "And.. I got sick of wasting away in the mines. Terrible place, mines. Dangerous, dark, damp.. eh, dangerous. Look here." She taps her knuckles on her right hand where three X's were tattooed. "Got these for surviving cave ins. Three of them. They called me Lucky Gwenna. Imaginative name, eh? But I sure didn't feel lucky being in three cave ins. After the last I figured it was time to stop mining gold for the Valk's crown, and head out somewhere and get paid my own fortune. Maybe if I really am lucky I can gamble myself a lucky coin or two. Got plenty of practice gambling with dice so it might be possible." She shrugs.She was really talking this old woman's ear off now, but it had been a while since she'd been able to speak to someone else. The trip from The North through the Midlands had been more lonely than she imagined, but it had been a worthwhile trip. Seeing the city of Mariza was exciting and daunting at the same time. She could have barely imagined so many people living in one place, bustling and moving all about like hundreds of ants. It was too busy for her. "Hopefully I'll live up to my lucky name if that happens eh?"With a chuckle the conversation continued until it eventually died, the sound of travel taking over the silence between the two. After a moment Gwenna raised her hand palm out, looking at the lantern tattoo on the back of her hand, various dots mimicking the constellation. She was following it toward something new and her intuition was telling her it was the right thing to do. Always travel forward in the light of the lantern. She really should have done this years ago. — Character Name: Gwenna Character Race: Human Character Age: 24 Brief Physical Description: Gwenna is a shorter woman, but well muscled thanks to her time in the mines. Her arms are covered in various simple tattoos, the most noticeable ones being a lantern on the back of her right hand and three X's under the knuckles on her middle fingers. Her left hand is slightly deformed from an old injury, some of her fingers bent wrongly and barely able to move. Her red hair is messy and self cut, barely touching her shoulders, and her blue eyes sit above a wide gap-toothed smile.
