Our World Will Grow Dedicated to protecting the Reach’s untouched and untamed nature.                      Our mission statement is simple: watch over and protect all that is natural in the Southern Reach - from the smallest insect to the most towering of trees. We                               harvest nature's bounty with the understanding of the sanctity of what we take, from a leaf to the life of an animal. Making new paths through what is otherwise                         impassable to those that would hide in cities calls to us. The wilds are our homes - a home we defend.   Nature blesses us with life, to shun it is to shun life itself. Our intent is to provide and serve as mediator between the needs of both The Spire and Albern's Crossing as well as the needs of the nature around us and the souls that dwell within that nature. To gather resources in a manner respectful of where we take from is of utmost importance. To take without understanding why we do or how much to take will lead only to straining the life around us. A home to many more than the eye can see. Alongside gathering and protecting, we serve to document and understand the natural world and all of it's beauty, in hopes future generations will have the same                        reverence and respect we do now for the world and all that it offers us. A set of three letters to three people, each of them the same. It seems to have come from the Valkian Empire. They are dated for about three days ago. @LilGhostling , @Rinnie , @HunterOfNightt         Hey Aspen/Mel/Thrudni!   Hope you are doing well in the Spire. Peri - sorry - Mrs. Ulesinski and I have made it past Rulan, and are heading downstream to Castariva. I'm writing this in the back of a trade wagon, wheelchair beside me. With the war finally over, some trading vessels are said to head to the north. We'll be accompanying them, as much as Peri has a fear of water. Or myself for that matter.   Speaking of her, she is well. I worry about her practically every second. Can you blame me? She's my wife. I've made sure she's healthy as can be. It's a little odd during the nights, but she's kept me company, reading some of the many books the caravan has on Fey. I truly will never be free of the fey will I? I'll just need to keep her from doing anything outrageously dumb again.    I had to prove to the caravan I was a doctor. Somewhat like home, they saw the wheelchair and dismissed me. Well bandits tried to attack, we defeated them. I tended to everyone. Magic for the most in need, practical for the rest/those who didn't want magic. After that they refunded Peri's and I's fee for travel. Nice of them, but I was just doing what was right.    Seeing the realm, I might actually take Petrova's offer to work at one of her many hospitals, so long as she believes that what I'm doing is a right, and shouldn't be charged for. I don't get the dislike of magic by some here, even those back home. I have my own reasons for it not being used on myself, but it can heal and reduce the pain in minutes rather than weeks or months. Is it not more favourable then? Why drag out someone's suffering if they are ok with their wounds being undone? I simply don't get it.   I am glad I got over my preconceived notions of the realm and Valkians in general with my learning in the Spire. Speaking with most people here is... Nice. A fair number of them try to help me when I never asked for help, which, the more I think about it, the more it feels like they secretly hate me? Should that make sense. I appreciate help when asked for, no doubt about that, but I feel belittled and othered by them the same way I do with people that think me incompetent or unable because of the wheelchair. Am I not human? Can I not speak or do things for myself?   Even the Emperor of the Valkian Empire is in a wheelchair like me, if rumours are to be believed. Half a mind to ask to meet him to discuss how we could improve the lives of those living with something like us or some other hinderance to our daily lives. How could you act like this when your own monarch is like this? I may hate the man as a ruler, but as a person should he not be offered the same grace as anyone else? He as much as any deserves to be treated as a human.   Apologies. My mind has been stuck on these questions for a few days now. The nature around us is foreign; neither of the North nor of the Reach. I wish to go explore it, dig my hands into its soil, but alas, the caravan moves onward. Stopping for little, and while the merchants, guards, and now prisoners seem happy I have tended to their wounds, they also seem... Rather uneager to go let me frolic. Which I suppose is fair, our rations have decreased having to feed new mouths. Not everyone can just eat... Any sort of plant matter. Ate raw belladonna a night back as a party trick. The caravan was surprised to say the least.    We should be approaching the city in a day or two. I shall write again before the boat departs for northern shores.   Stay safe friends, Mrs. Ulesinski

Also known as: Lia, Cabbage, Vines, Catnip ❧ 24 ❧ She/Her, Cis ❧ Poly/Pan ❧ Fey-Touched (Dryad) ❧ 147cm short A short woman with deep red, long curly hair. Purple orbs sit behind glasses, vines crawling up her face. The right side of her face holding scars from some manner of beast. She usually wears a small smile. On her shoulder is typically a small bright red Fey Marten named Pixie, idly observing and taking in the world, or sneaking food. Her body is wrapped in vines, tattoos that glow when using magic; visible wherever her skin is not covered by clothing or her own leaves. Her leaves line her wrists, and her legs below her knee. They respond to her emotionally, when she is happy, they are happy, bright and green. When she is angered, they stick up on end, almost like thorns. When she is sad, they wilt and die.    While trying to consistently do good for those around her, she is unafraid to say her mind at times, or wear her emotions on her sleeve - whatever those emotions are. Usually to her detriment. In spite of this, she tries to make amends where she is able - but actions speak louder than words, rather consistently. She will usually prefer to extend sympathy and care to those that would offer understanding and listening, rather than rely on words alone.  Tempted by the her past, nature is part of her - physically in her leaves and tattoos, and spiritually. There's a draw to the wilds outside of any habitation. Beyond city streets, walls, and civilization. There's a homeliness there, one that makes her uneasy when separated. One that continuously exists in her until she is able to relax out in nature. Extremely stubborn, or determined, depending on how one perceives it, for those she loves.
